CHALLENGE

This leading medical equipment management company helps hospitals and health systems address their challenges from compliance requirements to quality issues related to medical devices and everything in between.

When it came to the network, they relied on internal teams to support everything they do.  They needed help.

Engineering and Design

  •      Lacked standardization around configuration and management of their Meraki environment
  •      There was no Wi-Fi available to enable mobile employees and IOT devices.
  •      Inconsistent and poorly performing switching fabric
  •      No redundancy or disaster recovery plans
  •      Network not capable of supporting planned VoIP deployment using 8×8

Installation and Support

  •      Company was performing self-installs and handling their Meraki configuration and management in-house and could not scale for future growth plans

SOLUTION

After consulting with the company and determining their needs as well as the agreed-upon best plan of action moving forward, here is the solution we provided.

Engineering and Design

  •      Vector Security Networks standardized the configuration templates for all of the Meraki MX64’s, MS220 switches, and MR32 AP’s
  •      We redesigned the company’s HA pair of VPN concentrators
  •      4G failover was added for redundancy

Migration and Support

  •      We worked closely with the company to perform lab testing and made recommendations on template configuration during and after deployment
  •      Our project management and integration teams were heavily involved with weekly calls to ensure collaboration

Single Source Solution

  •      Vector Security Networks now provides a single consolidated invoice for all services to include MNS and broadband
  •      We also provide a truly turn-key service and manage the entire lifecycle of the underlying circuits, as well as the Meraki and Cradlepoint licenses
