The owners of this national restaurant chain needed a firewall solution with a 4G failover. They had previously owned a different quick-serve restaurant chain but had a bad experience with their networking company. They turned to Vector Security Networks for a solution.
Engineering and Design
- The restaurant chain asked Vector Security Networks to propose a fully managed Fortinet firewall solution that included 4G failover
- The network that was installed when the owners acquired the restaurant chain was “end of life”
- Network upgrades were necessary to support their Ziosk POS system

Engineering and Design
- Vector Security Networks, in concert with their IT Dept, worked to design and deploy standardized security policies for all restaurant sites as well as POS network segmentation to meet their PCI requirements
- Our team redesigned their VPN concentrator environment with the deployment of a Fortinet firewall
- All designs were tested in a lab and our engineers build test configurations before full deployment to restaurants
- 4G failover was installed for redundancy
Migration, Installation, and Support
- Performed all staging, kitting and installation for all restaurant sites
- Project management and integration teams were heavily involved with biweekly calls to ensure collaboration with their IT teams
- Assisted them with firewall policy documentation to complete their PCI audit
